Ballads and Banjos is Sonja Hedlund’s live show featuring a wide selection of folk music from singer – songwriters like Holly Near and John McCutchon to old masters from the early days of American folk. Sonja often links music to current and historical events – WW I, the depression, climate change,  Women’s History Month. Some shows focus on friendship, sorrow and love. She includes music from far off places she has visited.
